EM Keep - Relive your WhatsApp chat as daily memories

ABOUT EM Keep
EM Keep is a WhatsApp memory app. Export a chat, upload it, and each day EM brings back the messages you sent on that date in past years, as a swipeable stack of cards, like flipping through an old photo album. It also has a private journal you can send to your future self, playful stats about your chats like your most-used word or how many times you've said 'I love you', and voice note playback so you can hear the people you care about again. Your messages are encrypted before they leave your device, so only you can read them. Free to start, with a Premium plan for more. Built after losing my best friend, EM is for grief, for love, and for the everyday conversations you're not ready to lose.

Problem

People often lose or forget significant WhatsApp conversations and moments over time, wishing they could easily revisit them.

Solution

EM allows users to securely import and archive their WhatsApp chats, then resurfaces these memories on the anniversary of when they occurred, alongside a personal journaling feature.

What makes it unique

It's a "Google Photos for chats" experience, offering daily memory resurfacing and an integrated personal journal. All messages are fully encrypted on the user's device before upload, ensuring privacy.

Hi, I'm Chantal, the maker of EM. I built EM after losing my best friend. In the days after she passed, I kept opening our WhatsApp chat to read our conversations, and realised those ordinary messages were some of the most precious things I had left of her. EM is where I built to keep them. You upload a WhatsApp chat and each day it brings back the messages you sent on that date in past years, as a swipeable stack of cards. Less like searching a database, more like flipping through an old photo album. It also surfaces little facts about your chats, like how many times you've said 'I love you', and plays back voice notes you'd almost forgotten. Your messages are encrypted, so only you can access them. For grief, for love, and for the everyday chats you're not ready to lose. Some conversations deserve to last.
